We have recently developed a new resource, Getting to know you – conversations about nature. We have had lots of positive feedback from our first Getting to know you activity so we decided to extend it and offer some more ideas for conversations around plants and flowers that are stimulated by sensory clues.
You can use this resource as an opportunity to find out where someone’s interests lie and plan future outdoor activities such as bird watching perhaps or going for a picnic.
We have found that this activity works best when you actually source the natural items and then follow the wording and sensory clues. The activity covers conversation prompts and sensory ideas for the following natural items;
Grass • Rose • Soil • Leaves • Sticks or twigs • Rosemary
